What is Complex Care?
Complex care is specialist support for people with significant or ongoing health needs that require a higher level of skill and clinical understanding. It’s often needed when someone has multiple long-term conditions, severe disabilities, or relies on medical equipment or procedures to manage daily life.
Examples include people living with spinal injuries, brain injuries, motor neurone disease (MND), multiple sclerosis, advanced Parkinson’s, or those who need support with tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, catheter or stoma management, or ventilator assistance.
